He was predeceased by: his parent John Smith; and his siblings, Laura, Ern and Archibald. He is survived by: his parent Gladys Smith (Spurrell); his significant other Joan Arnold; and his brothers, Andrew, Robert (Diane), William (Gertie), Samuel (Lorena) and Ernest (Hazel). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
