He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Winnifred Smith (Boone); his stepmother Helen Smith (Grant); his daughter Kelli; and his brothers, Hedley and Jackie.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his daughters, Shelli (Jack) and Kim (Bruce); his grandchildren, Brian, Amanda, Adam, Hannah and Cicely; and his siblings, Dean (Carol), Brenda (Hayward), Hilda (Steve), Emily (Tony) and Patsy (Rick). He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one's choice.
