He was predeceased by: his parent Norman Oakes; and his siblings, George, Norma and Margaret. He is survived by: his parent Syble Oakes (Haines); his significant other Elmore Veinotte of Clearland; his son Craig of Conquerall Mills; and his siblings, Joan of Mahone Bay, Donald Bridgewater (Marilyn) and Richard Bridgewater (Betty).
