She was predeceased by: her parents, Lovitt Blades and Cecilia Blades (Nickerson); her brother Elton Blades; and the father of her children Donald Hiltz. She is survived by: her children, Donna Bolivar (Barry), Gary (Ivanka), Garth Hiltz (Point), Richard Hiltz (Arletta) and Donnie Jr. Hiltz (Blockhouse); and her brothers, Evertte Blades (Shirley), Glendon Blades (Kay) and Corbett Blades (Cheryl). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Erma's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society.
