He was predeceased by: his parents, James McDonald and Jessie McDonald (MacLeod); and his brothers, Arthur Kennedy, Billy McDonald and John McDonald.

He is survived by: his sons, Cody MacDonald (Rachel) and Darcy McDonald (Sarah); his grandchildren, Peyton, Dalton and Lincoln McDonald; his siblings, Karen Hunter (Herbie), Nancy MacDonald and Jimmy MacDonald; and his sisters-in-law, Darline (Arthur) and Elaine (Billy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM.
