He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Hopkins and Vera Hopkins (Coulthard). He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey (Heather), Gregory (Kim) and Peter (Paula); his grandchildren, Kristen, Lauren, Ryan, Kyle and Hailee; his brother Donald; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Lunn and John Seamone (Evelyn). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater, N. S. Due to Covid protocol and restrictions, there will be no visitation, and an interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Shore Area Palliative Care, South Shore Regional Hospital Foundation or to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter.
