He was predeceased by: his parent Juanita Sarty (Robar); and his sisters, Connie Sarty and Gail Sarty-Veinot. He is survived by: his parent Mark Sarty (Brenda) of Bridgewater; his friend Debi Wood of Bridgewater; his children, Angela of Dartmouth, Anna Sarty (Mel) of Halifax, Bedford of Halifax and Christine Sarty of Halifax; his siblings, Lisa Green (Pete), Janice Leary (Kevin) and Edwin Sarty; his stepbrothers, Kevin Eisnor (Cindy), Cornwall, Kent Eisnor (Angie) and Pinegrove; and also Pinehurst. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Daniel's memory may be made to M.A.D.D. (as a memory of his sister Gail) or a charity of choice.
