Chesley Garland Skinner Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Chesley Garland Skinner of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, who passed away on July 19, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Joe and Rosanna Skinner (Garland); his son Chesley Garland Junior (Skipper); and his siblings, Stanley Skinner (Violet), Arthur Skinner (Carrie), Albert Skinner (Josephine), Eli Skinner (Rita), Raymond Skinner, Winston Skinner, Elsie Moore (Fred) and Beatrice Hiltz (Lewis).
He is survived by: his wife Doreen (Sawler); his children, Terry Skinner (Sherry) and Brenda Skinner (MacDonald); his grandchildren, Jill Skinner, Tracey, Timothy and James MacDonald (Ira); his great grandchildren, Skipper, Judah, Mikah and Finn Chesley; and his sister-in-law Germaine Skinner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia, the Canadian Cancer Society or to South Shore Health Palliative Care.
