He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Arnold and Bethina Winifred Matheson (Hemeon); and his siblings, Gerald Matheson, Vera Wilton and Myrtle Purdy.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his children, Audrey Matheson (Chas) of Lahave, Marsha Matheson and Gerald (Cindy); his grandchildren, Myranda Miller Halifax, Robyn and Liam Matheson Halifax; and his great grandchild Simon.
