It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Jane Stevens of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, K. Lawrence Carter and Katherine L. Carter (Smith); her husband Robert; her siblings, Maynard Carter and Margaret Grant; and her stepsiblings, Edmond Reid, Clarence Reid, Lauris Lewis and Josephine Trebbne.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susanne (Bill) of Ogden, NS and Kathryn (John) of Saint John, NB; her grandchildren, Steven (Shannon), Stephanie (Nolan), Karen (Nick), Mark and Amy; and her great grandchildren, Braeden, Maple and Kendall. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Bridgewater Baptist Church, 564 Glen Allan Drive, Soul's Harbour Mission 136 Pleasant Street, Bridgewater, NS, B4V 2L2, or your local food bank, would be appreciated by the family.
