He was predeceased by: his parent Cecil Young; his son Tony; his siblings, Lois (Beecher), Shirley and Jerry; and his grandson Anthony.

He is survived by: his wife Deanna; his children, Natalie (Richard), Monica and Rodney (Carollee); his grandchildren, Hillary (Todd), Jared (Holly) and Nicholas; his stepgrandson Michael (Eleesha); his great grandchildren, Skye and Nevaeh; his stepgreat-granddaughter Neko; and his brother Carl (Audrey).

In lieu of flowers a tree can be planted in his memory.
