He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Carignan and Gabrielle Carignan (Fontaine); and his brothers, Lawrence and Ted Carignan. He is survived by: his children, Douglas, Timothy, Lawrence Carignan (Jennifer McKinnon), Tammy MacKean, Susan Carignan and Jennifer Carignan (Russell Mosher); the mother of his children Carol Slaunwhite; and his sister Rosemary Charron. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
