He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Jean Smith (Wagner); and his brother Douglas. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Louise (Wentzell); his children, John (Rowena) and Sherry (Don "Tex" Robinson) of Bridgetown; and his granddaughter Chloe Smith. He is also survived by several nephews and cousins.
