He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Whitter and Helen Whitter (Richards). He is survived by: his wife Joan (Dauphinee); his children, Timothy, Lisa Hubley (Brian), Janice Boutilier (Corey Sears), Glen Haven and Trena (Rob Oake); his grandchildren, Jedediah, Falon, Tiffany, Isabelle and Joshua; and his great grandchild Sophie (Ariel).
