He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Hector Grant and Annie Grant (MacIntosh); and his siblings, Lorna Goudge (MacCallum), Leila Campbell (Dan), Rindress Grant (Brenda) and Alpin Grant.

He is survived by: his wife Isabel Grant (MacRae); his children, George Grant (Cathey) of Kingston, ON and Dianne Hearn (Gerald); his grandchildren, Ashley Hearn (Jamie Dawson), Adam Hearn (Kristin), Katrina Tremblay (Joe) and Jonathan Grant; and his great grandchildren, John, Garrett and Brynn Dawson.

In lieu of flowers donations to Robin's memory may be made to Miners Memorial Manor, Sydney Mines.
