It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Stewart of Big Bras d'Or, Nova Scotia, born in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 26, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Powers and Jessie Powers (Cann); her husband Gordie; her siblings, Rosie, Jessie, Cecil, David and Dan; her nephews, Danny and Joe; and her niece Wanda.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie Tobin (Brian), Joe, Gordie (Michele), Jimmy and Russell; and her siblings, Dorothy, Eva, Donna and Charlie. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
