He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Patrick McGough, Nell McGough of Halifax, Joseph Chiasson and Lucy Chiasson of New Waterford. He is survived by : his children, Rae and Lindsay; his close friend Gina Graves and her son Vaughn; his siblings, Michele Chiasson-Suart (Glenn Suart), Calgary, Carole-Anne Chiasson Toronto (Aaron Smith), Kevin Chiasson (Michelle Vernooy), Vancouver, Raymond, Jennifer Chiasson (Chapman) and Yellowknife; and also, Raymond Chiasson, Mary Chiasson and Dartmouth. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles.

Donations in Joe's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia would be appreciated. "Hey man, thanks" is what Joe would have said, and our family thank him for the years we had with him.
