We are sad to announce that on January 10, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Joan Eloise Thornhill of Berwick, Nova Scotia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Spurgeon Nixon and Margaret Nixon (Baltzer) of Berwick; her sons, Roy and Peter Carter; and her siblings, Jean Hall, Janet McGann, Florence Hiltz, Mary Sherman, Judy Holleman, Spurgeon and Gordon Nixon.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Jane Melanson (John), Kingston, Janet Wells (Clyde) and Robert Carter (Janey); her daughters-in-law, Janet Carter, Kingston and Connie Carter; and her sisters, Patricia Reid, Linda Davison (Ronald) and Nancy Arenburg (Willie). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Donations could be kindly made to the Recreation Department at Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre or to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
