He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hampsey and Mary Hampsey (Toney); and his siblings, Patrick, John, Joyce and Theresa.

He is survived by: his brothers, Eric Hampsey and David Hampsey; and his close friend Betty Banks. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
