He was predeceased by: his parents, Lindsay Banks, Sr. and Neta Banks (Ward); his wife Marie (Carey); and his brothers, Gerald, Lindsay and Ivan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Carter (Coldbrook), Shirley Banks (Greenwood), Linda MacInnis (Harbour), Peggy MacInnis (Canning) and Tina Banks (Kingston); and his siblings, Richard, Donald of Prince George, BC, Geraldine of Prince George, BC, Lillian, Pauline and Berwick. He is also survived by grandchildren; great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada.
