She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth W. Parry and Margaret E. Parry (Marsters); her husband Ralph A. Lenton; and her cousin Kenneth Delaney. She is survived by: her sons, Jonathan Lenton (Kathleen), Kingston, Ont, Anthony "Tony" Lenton, Berwick, Gordon Lenton (Cindy) and Waterville; her grandchildren, David, Dylan, Jesse, Rachel and Jasmine; and her cousins, Louis and Eugene Delaney.

Donations in her memory may be made to Berwick Baptist Church, Canadian Cancer Society or to Victorian Order of Nurses, Annapolis Valley Branch.

“I learned today that your mom passed away last June. Helen was an important person to me as a friend, mentor and colleague. For two years, Dave and I (and then our first born Anna) lived only a few doors down from your mom on White Crescent. She was the best neighbour ever. Our annual long distance calls kept us connected over the years. I loved catching up with her and finding out what you were all up to. She was incredibly proud of you. Thank you for sharing your mom with me. I will miss her.”
