With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eric L. Welin of Berwick, Nova Scotia, born in Timmins, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 26, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Welin and Leila Welin (Pitt); his sister Sue; his brother-in-law Sonny Burke; his siblings, Diane Dukeshire and Dwight; and his nephew Shane.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, David (Maryanne) of Carcross, YT, Nancy Welin (Guy Laframboise) and Susan Blamire (Brian) of Cumberland, BC; his grandchildren, Tina Lightfoot, Nicole, Kevin Welin, Hannah and Eric Blamire; his brother Brian; and his brother-in-law Kendall Dukeshire.

Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation or The Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia.
