She is survived by: her husband Edward; her children, Catherine McLeod (Brian), Pauline Craig (Gary), Ottawa, Dianne Chiasson (Roy Hopkins), Marc Chiasson (Lorraine) and Lori Chiasson; her grandchildren, Paul (Colin McLeod), Jennifer Slivecka (Ivan), Adam (Matthew Craig), Ross and Gwen (Brett Chiasson); her great grandchild Vera Slivecka; and her siblings, Steven (June), Maxwell (Linda), Albert (Margaret), Wayne, Randy (Mary), Helen Smith (late Larry), Sophie Newman (Joe), Linda Maloney (Marcus) and Nada Sooley (Steve). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in, Betty's memory, may be made to the L'Arche Wolfville or to a charity of choice.
