He was predeceased by: his parent Frederick Albert; his wife Evangeline Joy (Hennigar); his daughter Gail Marie; his grandson Bradford Christopher Gibson; his half-brother John "Gordon" Shaw; and his siblings, Jessie Martin (Forsyth) and George Frederick Forsyth.
He is survived by: his parent Janet "Jennie" Forsyth (Bishop); and his children, Leonard (Clara), North East Margaree, Carlton (Sharron), Marion Louise, Mary Lou, Centreville, Sharon Lohnes (Eugene), Millville, Elaine Davison (Roy Freake), Fogo, Debbie Gibson (Craig), Kingston, Deanna (Tim Loney) and Morden. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
