He was predeceased by: his parents, John McWilliams and Dorothy McWilliams (Golding); his wife Annette "Larraine" (Spencer); and his brothers, Michael and John.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn (Shelley) and Lisa Connell (Mark Findlay); and his grandchildren, Aaron, Lauren, Trent and Wesley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
