With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Barbara Alteen of Bedford, Nova Scotia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Barbara left this world on December 19, 2024 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Way and Mary Ellen Way; her sister Anne Mackey; her former husband Bob Dawe (Bob); her husband Laurie Alteen; and her stepdaughter Patti.

She is survived by: her brothers, David Way and Terry Way; her son Rob (Mary Lou); her grandchildren, Robert and Christine Williams (Justin); her great grandchildren, Dylan and Ffion Williams; her children, Louis (Yvonne), Larry (Debbie) and Kathy; her grandchildren, Joey, Sarah Shallow (Paul) and Laura (Andrew Reddy); and her great grandchildren, Leo, Nora and Maren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara Alteen's memory to All Saints Anglican Church, Bedford NS; St Martha's Regional Hospital Foundation or a charity of their choice.
