With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maurice Bernard Pitts (Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia), born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 24, 2018 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Martin Pitts; his wife Helen; his children, Jerome and Rose; and his siblings, Everett, Anthony, Veronica, Gillis and Marie Pitts.
He is survived by: his parent Rose Pitts (Chisholm); and his children, Greg Peterborough (Wendy), Dana Sarnia (Julie), Martin Sarnia (Leslee), Lorraine Pitts Sarnia, Karen Cameron Lower (Alvin), Joan Ball Valley (Graham), Valerie Young Sarnia (Rob) and Mary Brown Pitts Sarnia. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to The Royal Canadian Legion, Calais Branch 162 Poppy Fund, or to a charity of your choice.
