He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Britten and Agnes Britten (Poirier); his siblings, Joseph, Dennis, Bill, Henry, Allison Marley, Ken Troke and Anita Britten; his nephew Francois Marley; and his niece Jennifer Britten.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Lescombe (Darren Lelievre) and Michael Britten (Lori Ross); his siblings, Earleen Britten, Ina Britten (Rheal Saulnier), Marie MacNeil (Gerard MacNeil), Raymond Britten (late Kay Cote), Junior Britten (Jayne Fryday), Brian Britten (Kathy Lively) and Paul Britten; his grandsons, Dennis Lescombe and Elliott Britten; and his godmother Kathleen Benoit.
