It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Berniece Gillis of Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia, who passed away on June 15, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Purl Gilby and Ruby Gilby (Hill); her husband John; her son Curtis; her brothers, Lloyd, Elmer and Aubrey Gilby; and her brothers-in-law, Ray, Russell and Cyril.

She is survived by: her daughters, Verna Anthony (Ron) and Irma Boutilier (Michael); her grandsons, Chris, Craig Anthony and Joseph Boutilier (Emma); her great grandchild Miles Boutilier; her sisters, Thelma Lively, Cora Sampson, Doreen Powell (Clyde), Sylvia Moore (Richard) and Joyce Hull (George); and also, Lauretta, Marion, Phyllis Gilby, Eleanor and Mamie Gillis.

Due to Covid 19, there will be a private family burial with Rev. Lori Crocker under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, Lr.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John's United Church Cemetery, Beaver Bank.
