It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter Lawrence Benson of Bear River, Nova Scotia, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on August 31, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gertrude Benson (Potter) and Robert Benson of Bear River, NS.; his daughter Destiny Lejoure; his grandchildren, Orianna and Lyshaud Lejoure of Alberta; his uncles, Harley Potter (Faye) of Virginia East, Phillip Potter of Bear River, Harry Potter (Tanya) of Greenwood and Ross Potter (Susan) of Cornwallis Park; his aunt Irene Sexton of Lequille; the mother of his children Susan Lejoure; his birth father Charles Himmelman; his stepdaughter Sheree Lejoure; and his grandparents, Loran, Mildred Potter (Wright), Lawrence and Agnes Himmelman (Jermey). He was also cherished by Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
