He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Corkum and Annie Corkum. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his stepchildren, Derrick, Andy (Tina), Rennie and Norma (Dave); and his grandchildren, Drew, Dawson (Lacey), Makayla (Alton), Lucas (Rea), Logan (Natasha), Caleb (Kelly), Carrie (David), Kelly (Ryan) and Karen. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Donations in Basil's memory can be made to the IWK Children's Hospital, Palliative Care Unit at Annapolis Community Health Centre, or charity of choice.
