He was predeceased by: his parents, Andum Hewey and Mildred Hewey (Kaulback); and his siblings, Helen Trimper, Avard, Wilfred and Cecil.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his children, David (Amanda), Michael (Alissa Shea) of Riverview, NB and Dawna Campbell (Frank); his grandchildren, Michelle Richards, Christopher Campbell, Grayson Hewey and Maya Hewey; and his siblings, Phyllis Comeau (Guy) and Franklin (June). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
