With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Glendon Marshall Blades of Barrington Passage, Nova Scotia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Glendon Marshall left this world on January 10, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lovitt Blades and Cecilia Blades (Nickerson); his wife Kay Blades (Lamrock); his grandson John Fowler; and his siblings, Erma, Elton and Corbett.
He is survived by: his children, Tommy of Wood's Harbour and Teresa Benoit (Rick Thorburne) of Shag Harbour; his grandson Nathan Benoit (Amanda) of Oak Park; his great grandchild Elliot Benoit; his stepgrandson Keidon Benoit; and his brother Everett (Shirley) of Bellingham, Mass. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the H. M. Huskilson's Funeral Home (2821 Nova Scotia Trunk 3, Barrington, NS B0W1E0). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the H. M. Huskilson's Funeral Chapel (2821 Nova Scotia Trunk 3, Barrington, NS B0W1E0).
