He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Small and Freda Small (Jackson); his parents-in-law, Lorne and Audrey Shields; his brothers-in-law, Bill Shields and Ken MacDougall; and his nephew Sean MacDougall.
He is survived by: his wife Leslie (Shields); his brother Tom Small (Janet); his siblings-in-law, Bruce Shields (Joy), Judi Randles (John), Audrey Shields and Debbie Shields; and his uncle Perry Jackson (Sheila). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
