He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Haliburton and Jean Haliburton (Tattrie); his wife Lesley (Balcom); his close friend Lyn Hayes; his brothers, Jock and Tom; his daughter Barbara; and his siblings-in-law, Bruce, Shelagh Addison and Patricia Haliburton.

He is survived by: his sons, Matthew (Lisa), Sandy Point and Noel (Lucy); his grandchildren, Claire, Liam, Ottawa and Joshua; his brothers, Gordon (Edith) and Charles (Margaret); and his sister-in-law Mable. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
