He was predeceased by: his brothers, Laurier Boudreau and Stanley Boudreau. He is survived by: his wife Helen "Nell" Mary (LeBrun); his children, Michelle Carter (Kenny MacNeil) and Scott Boudreau (Gail Boudreau); his grandson Brett Carter; and his siblings, Phil Boudreau (Celeste) and Paula Boudreau of Petit.
Due to Covid restrictions a celebration of life for Vernon will take place at a later date when family and friends can gather safely.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Anne Community & Nursing Care Centre, Cancer Care NS, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 150, Arichat, Richmond County Minor Baseball, or to the charity of one's choice.
