It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernie Lawrence Bowen of Arichat, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 25, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilary Bowen and Kathleen Bowen (Latimer); his daughter Beverly; his brother George; and his brothers-in-law, Johnny, Blaise, Jerry and Bobby.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Georgina (Joyce); his children, Brenda Bowen, Debbie Sampson (Blaise), Kim Heudes (Marcel), Petit of Grat and Vernon (Nicole); his son-in-law Craig Benoit; his grandchildren, Wayne (Kaysha), Brittany (Jordan), Tyler (Jennifer) and Hillary (Nick); his great grandchild William David; his sister Marie DeWolf; and his sisters-in-law, Susan, Jeanne, Barbara, Irene (Peter) and Matilda (Robert).
