It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patrick Mathias Pat Pertus (Arichat, Nova Scotia), who passed away on November 1, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Francis Xavier and Margaret Pertus (Doyle); his brother John; his sister-in-law Flora Martin; and his parents-in-law, Alexander and Mary Catherine Boudreau (LeBlanc).
He is survived by: his children, Frances MacDonald (Glen), Alex Pertus (Tracy MacPhee), Northside East Bay and Jody Pertus (Patricia Gillis); his grandchildren, Breanne MacDonald-Confiant (Paul Jordan), Alicia Pyke (Tyler), James Pertus (Brooke), Morgan Pertus, Nicholas Pertus and Jessica Pertus; his great grandchildren, Nora Pyke and Ellie Pertus; his sisters, Roma (Jimmy Kehoe) and Sydney; and his nieces and nephews, Paulette Kraitzek (Robert), Claudette Porter (Shawn), Michael Pertus (Ginette) and Arthur Pertus.
In compliance with Nova Scotia's COVID-19 public health regulations, proof of double vaccination and a picture ID must be shown to attend the funeral.
Memorial donations can be made to the Isle Madame Food Bank or to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society.
