We are sad to announce that on April 6, 2018, Mary Frances Hewings (Arichat, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Edwin Lawrence; her sister Theresa Power; and her husbands, Peter DeCoste and Michael Hewings. She is survived by: her parent Elizabeth "Betty" Power (Chisholm); her children, Neil DeCoste of Halifax and Jessica Hyland (Simon); her grandchildren, Grace Hass of Arichat, Ophelia Hyland of Arichat and Nash Hyland of Arichat; her siblings, Greg Power (Karen), Pondville, Michael Montreal (Gassan), Elizabeth MacNamara (Alfred), Winnie Bungay (Ed), Joann Power, Portuguese Cove, Patricia Rioux and Havre Boucher; her stepdaughter Rachel Best (Steven); and her daughter Georgia Best. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be made to the Strait Richmond Hospital Palliative Care Society.
