With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter James Whitty of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on July 12, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Whitty and Sophie Whitty (Arsenault); his wife Margaret (Burns); his brothers, James and Roland Whitty; and his parents-in-law, John, Colin, Harry, Sandy Burns, Elsie and Gordon Heading.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Marie Morris (Carl), Cathy Lamey (Everett), Walter (Sandra), Elizabeth Guthro (Joey), Mary MacIntosh (Roddie) and Steven; his brother Robert Whitty (Carol); and his parents-in-law, Bev Whitty, Joanne Whitty Rogers, Hilda Burns, Theresa Whalen (Steve) and Diane Senechal (Jacques). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
