He was predeceased by: his parents, Terrance Thompson and Dorothy Thompson (MacInnis); his wife Mary Gertrude "Gidget"; and his siblings, Gary, Debbie Swinkels and Liz Warren.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah (Trevor), Kathleen, Laura, Leah of Nelson, BC and Emma; his grandchildren, Nicolas, Levi and Mary Elizabeth; his siblings, Sandra Jardine (Tom), Paul, Wayne, Len (Bernadette) and Greg (Isabel); and his siblings-in-law, Barb Thompson, John Swinkels and Phil Warren. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
