He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony and Frances Sampson; and his sister-in-law Rosalie Sampson. He is survived by: his wife Anja; his children, Janko (Alison) and Sheena Berthiaume (Ben); his grandchildren, Hendrick, Anika, Zoe and Simon; and his brothers, Arthur (Joanne), Michael (Karen), Paul (Susan) and Donald (Kathleen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Antigonish Town and County Palliative Care Society.
