Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Sadie (Sarah Philomena) Gillis (Antigonish, Nova Scotia), who passed away at the age of 89, on March 11, 2025. She was predeceased by: her mother Geraldine Gillis (Bates); and her siblings, Mary, Rev. Lawrence, Joe (Edna), Gerry (Bernadette), John Hugh, Cyril (Veronica), Jane, Ronnie, Chris and Bernie.
She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Joan Gillis, Della Gillis and Mina Gillis Chamberlain; and also Paul. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great-great grand nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ninian's Cathedral (121 St Ninian St, Antigonish, NS B2G2L8).
Donations in memory of Sadie may be made to Hospice Cape Breton or to the MacGillivray Guest Home.
