She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Gerrior and Eugene Gerrior of Maryvale; her stepfather Dougald; and her brothers, Peter and Michael MacDonald.
She is survived by: her husband Patrick; her children, Karen Stewart (Ralph) of Lochaber, NS, Eugene (Linda) of Shelburne, ON, Joseph (Kathy) of Mississauga, ON, Glenn (Janice) of New Glasgow, NS and Phillip (Lisa) of Stellarton, NS.; her grandchildren, Kyle, Emily, David (Maddy), Marybeth, Travis (Courtney), Tommy (Ashley), Tori, Kayleigh, Grace, Rebecca and Sarah; and her great grandchildren, Kaidan, Allison and Payton. She is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, as well as more than fifty nieces and nephews.
Full Covid restrictions will be in place including masking, distancing, and valid proof of vaccination including photo ID.
The family requests that memorial donations in Rita's memory be made to St. Martha's Regional Hospital Foundation.
