He was predeceased by: his parent John Alex; and his siblings, Mary, Josie, Margaret, Billy, Johnny, Ralph and Gordie.
He is survived by: his parent Christina MacKenzie (MacLean); his wife Jean; his children, Gordie (Shelly), Fort St, Kenny (Connie), Truro, Ann Marie MacKenzie (Dean) of New Glasgow and Carlie McDonald (Mike) of Havre Boucher; and his sister Dorothy MacKenzie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
