It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Patrick Rutayisire (Antigonish, Nova Scotia), who passed away on May 21, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gatera Innocent and Uwera Kasita (Cyrile). He is survived by: his children, Mike Rutayisire and Keza Samia; his siblings, Patricie Murekatete, Maurice Uwimana, Roger Karangwa Ishimwe, Kayigema Corneille and Uwamariya Jacqueline; and also Jan MacKay.
He provided food and resources to the most vulnerable in his community in Rwanda during the pandemic, and with the help of StFX players, always donated used soccer gear to players back home because he knew what it was like to play without the proper equipment.
