He was predeceased by: his mother Agnes O'Connell; his brother James Fennell; and his stepfather Harold Densmore. He is survived by: his father James Fennell; his wife Lorraine (Bouchard); his mother-in-law May Bouchard; his children, Marie-Hélène (Yannick Laplante) of Pomquet and Marc (Mary Rapisarda); his granddaughters, Evangeline and Elliana of Calgary; his niece Veronica Kelbie (Daemond Dummer) of Calgary; and his siblings, Susan McPhee, Alan Densmore, Carol Brookes and Greenville.

His family is also grateful for the Victoria Order Nurses' staff who visited daily even during a pandemic.
