He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Martin and Muriel MacDonald; his daughter Jennifer (Rob MacIsaac); and his siblings, Howard (Esther MacDonald) and Germaine (late Eugene Silver).
He is survived by: his wife Penny MacDonald; his children, Jeff (Brigitte Pinard), Laura (Ryan King), Lisa (Mike Caesar) and Patricia (Michael Spacek); his grandchildren, Louis, Alexandre, Frédéric, Éléonore, Alexandra and Reggie; and his siblings, Mona (late Mike Cillis), Flora Ann, Hilda (Rick Urbanowich), Rod (Anne-Marie Dwyer) and Owen (Greta MacDonald). He is also survived by 31 nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the MacIsaac Funeral Home (61 Pleasant St, Antigonish, NS B2G1W7).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St-Vincent-de-Paul Society of St. Ninian's Parish and/or the Naomi Society of Antigonish.
