With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence Murphy MacKenzie (Antigonish, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 14, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Lawrence Murphy's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Lawrence Murphy has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Angus Joseph (A. J.) and Marie MacKenzie (Beaton); and his wife Joanne Stewart. He was also cherished by four brothers, two sisters, three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the MacIsaac Funeral Home (61 Pleasant St, Antigonish, NS B2G1W7). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. James United Church (197 Main St, Antigonish, NS B2G2B8).
Donations in memory may be made to the R.K. MacDonald Foundation -Lights of Love Campaign or a charity of choice.
