He was predeceased by: his parents, James MacEachern and Mary MacEachern (MacDonald); and his siblings, Helen and James. He is survived by: his wife Mary (Fraser); his children, Juanita of Red Deer, AB, Dennis (Kaela) and Brenda; his grandchildren, Jessica, Drew, Dahlia, Morgan, Taylor, Braden, Ella, Caileigh and Cooper; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Vincent; and his siblings, Albert (Ann), Sally (Ken) and Elmer (Kathy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In his memory, donations can be made to the MS Society, Antigonish Food Bank or the Alzheimer Society.
